What it is
Imagine Persona — except you’re running a real business. Topaz is a command center for a swarm of AI employees, each working for you 24/7 in its own cloud container. The game is managing them: building the instructions they follow, reviewing what they bring back, and steering the long-term plan.
Why a game
Today you talk to AI agents through chat windows, and it is the worst part of using them. Agents lose the plot on long-horizon work — not because they can’t think, but because context is the bottleneck, and a chat log is where context goes to die.
Good games solved this problem years ago. They keep you oriented inside plans that span dozens of hours, and they make following those plans genuinely addictive. Topaz’s interface does for your business what a great game does for a campaign: the UI’s whole job is context management — long-term planning, made legible and compulsive.
How it works
Your operation lives on a live board — queued, in progress, done — over plain files that you and your agents both read and write. No proprietary black box holding your task state hostage: every plan, every queue, every decision trail is yours, in text, forever.
Agents pick up work from the queue, push results back, and the board moves in real time. You review, redirect, and approve — humans judge plans; agents execute them. Hard spending caps and human approval gates are built into the design from day one.
Topaz is agent-agnostic: it orchestrates the agent harnesses you already use, and the ones that come next.
Built on itself
Topaz is being built by the system it sells — a fleet of agents working from the same queues, boards, and rails that ship in the product. We are our own first customer, every single night.
